Terrible waste of time on defective product

The specs on this model sounded great, at a good price and I realized when I drove by Cisco HQ most days these guys know what you do. .Sadly no, I must have spent 8 hours chatting with mindless Linksys "chat support” reps [I still don't know if it's a human or an intelligent natural language processor, that's another story.] , because over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, no connected device could stay connected for more than a couple of hours. Lots of googling and I suspected a well known issue with DHCP…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Legacy model

Very Poor Performance

Having used Linksys routers for the past 10 years, this wireless router's performance does not match the previous performance. This is not a plug and go router. Although I live in an apartment that is only 900 square meters, there is no place in the apartment that can be easily connected to a router. I turn on my computer, my computer sees the router and then says it can't connect. I'm running XP and my previous Linksys router accepts any of the 5 computers I have in my apartment. The main…

Great device for routers

Easy setup with my win 7 computer and cable modem, nice user friendly interface, since I started using it two months ago it has never had to be restarted like my old one routers. Speed Bust fast!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • For seniors

Not worth the money.

The wifi on this device is terrible. Also, the router keeps dropping the connection, which is why I have to restart it over and over again. If I could go back and trade in this device I would, but it may soon find a place in my trash can. I've had such good experiences with Linksys routers, but this partnership with Cisco ruined them for me. It's time to look for a new brand.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Bad router, bad support.

Router keeps disconnecting me, tried almost everything and nothing helped to fix the problem. I tried the live chat support but the replies were very automated and not helpful.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
