Description of Remflex 2036 Exhaust Gasket Engine

1-3/4" Round Port; Chevy V8 - 396, 402, 427, 454 ('65-'90), 1-3/4" Round Port, For Raised Weld Bead Headers, 2/Set. There are no rubber binders or composite materials in Remflex exhaust gaskets so they will not shrink or harden due to time or temperature eliminating the need to go back and continually retighten your flange bolts. For use with raised weld bead headers; additional sealing material is provided around the weld bead to provide a better seal. Heating and cooling of the exhaust system causes header and manifold flanges to warp resulting in gaps between the head and header which Remflex exhaust gaskets seal completely due to the thickness and compressibility of the 100 percent flexible graphite.

Impressive Automotive Gasket

I recently purchased a gasket for my performance car from this brand. Based on my experience, I can say that this gasket is a must-have for any car enthusiast. The fit and finish of the product are impressive and helped to keep my car running smoothly. The gasket definitely improved the overall performance of my vehicle. Still Sealed!: Replacement Parts

I have these gaskets for BBC 91 years bought with hedman collectors i thought they were soft aluminum but they are graphite everything is still good and tight i always recommend tightening the manifold bolts after you have warmed up the gaskets, ridden them and brought them up to temp, you always will get an extra turn or so.These shims are what you need for bad flanges, 1/8" thick or so, these shims compensate for a lot of warping etc. You have to be careful when installing, the graphite…
