Remington TITANIUM X Pivot Cutter F5800 Review

The center part of the shaving head is up so you have to push the razor down to allow the blades to catch the bristles. That's new to me. All previous shaving heads left the center section lowered. Either way, shaving becomes difficult and sometimes painful as the center section grabs and pulls the hair, preventing the razor from doing its job. This is just my opinion but having just bought one of these replacement heads I feel I can give an honest review and in my opinion it is better to buy a brand new shaver. instead of buying one of those replacement parts because they are total bullshit. My six month old cutter shaves closer than this new one. It didn't start well and then slowly got worse. it was rubbish to begin with. I love the Razor, but I can't afford to keep it running because the foil and cutter assemblies have to be replaced too often. costs me over $100 a year in parts. As you can see from the attached pictures, the mesh and cutter part wears out quickly. The picture on the left has a small hole on the right side of the original razor and the net lasted 8 months. To be honest the razor itself is great when new and works well when the foil and blade are perfectly finished but it seems to last less and less over the years . quality began to decline. My last refill started falling apart just a few months after I bought it, leaving me with an uncomfortable pile of nicks just below my nostrils. EVERY SHAVE I have to switch off the razor several times and put the foil back in the head. I don't expect them to last long and I won't be using them as a replacement. I will be looking for a new electric razor when all the replacement heads are like this.

Replacement foil and blades arrived in August 2020 to replace the April 2019 original Remington F5-5800 trimming head. This original was really worn out and produced a very awkward and bad cut. (Waited too long.) Easy to install. Used for the first time for a great finish. Comfortable, tight cut, sharp and fast. Time will tell how well they hold up. But now it's a 5.

Ordered a new cutter head for a Remington electric razor. Arrived on time and is as good or better than the original. Very satisfied and would buy again. The only thing I didn't know was that it was from overseas so delivery took a little longer than promised but it arrived on time or earlier than promised. Great offer.

I have used genuine parts for my razor for years (I don't shave every day) but I have found that I keep genuine parts for far longer than I should have. It was the perfect replacement and I immediately noticed a positive difference when shaving. It took less time and with a lot less irritation. Over time, I just didn't realize how boring the originals had become.

Remington recommends customers to replace the razor's cutting edges/guard (supplied) every 6 months. I ignored this advice for 13 months, after which shaving started to hurt. It feels like the mustache is pulled out one by one! That was my wake up call. The new incisors arrived yesterday.
