Not exactly the same, but might still work. Will be updated.

Definitely not the same as my OEM key for my 2012 250r, the black plastic is definitely larger all around. The length, width, and thickness of a real key look about the same. Haven't started cutting yet. If it works (or doesn't work) I'll come back and update my review one way or another. The strap that comes with it is of good quality, the clip and everything looks very solid.

Cheap, breaks into 3 pieces

This key is cheap and breaks more easily than a regular key. Also, if you are looking for a specific type of bike key, try to get the exact type of key that he needs. My bike needed a KM-10 key after I learned it. The type of key you need should be on your bike's ignition, where you insert the key, and your key code (the code that needs to be properly cut on the car) should be stamped further down the ignition somewhere on the side .
