American ingenuity in retrofitting factory parts.

Soooo glad someone thought of making a replacement that didn't require removing the entire dash to replace that door. Still not easy, but doable for the first time in just under two hours.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • So-so

This part worked like a charm

This part worked like a charm. I have freezing air again and didn't have to rip off the dash to replace the faucet flap. We watched a few videos on You Tube and swapped it through the glove box in about 30 minutes.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Negative Presence

Good quality good price

I like this overlay door because it can be installed without removing the dashboard. In any case, you decide to install this door, I will work for you. The item appears to be of good quality and I think it will last longer than the expedition it was installed on.

Pros
  • High quality assembly
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Easy installation through the glove box.

This is a great replacement for the broken door on my 98 F150. It is easy to install by cutting a hole in the glove box and air box. It has a removable bottom "pin" to make it easier to fit in the hole in the floor. If you haven't already, just check out YouTube. Overall I am VERY happy with this product. This has saved me hundreds of dollars in repairs.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Ideal for air conditioning

I ordered this because I was tired of manually switching between hot and cold. I had already cut a hole in my glove box so all I had to do was pull out the broken one. I had to remove the drive motor so the metal part of the door could be inserted from underneath and then attach the motor. It wasn't difficult to install. It took about 3 hours of which 1.5 hours was trying to figure out how to remove the heat duck on the bottom. The new one works perfectly.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative impression

Restoring correct temperature control to my 1999 F-150!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm glad that finally the heating control works normally in my F-150s! There are several videos on YouTube demonstrating the "quick" method and it was worth a look. I had some issues with the foil tape sticking initially, but a quick wipe with an alcohol wipe solved the problem. The part looks high quality and the breakable plastic part of the original valve has been replaced by a metal part. Seems solid and I expect this repair to last the life of the truck!

Pros
  • The gorgeous design
Cons
  • is suitable for

Perfect replacement of a combi door in half the time of a formal repair

Anyone who has worked with a '97 F150 heating system, particularly a combi door, will know the value of this item. It took about 2-3 hours from start to finish when working in the winter cold but much easier than the formal solution of removing the entire dash (including the steering column) to get to the heater behind. Pretty easy and simplistic, but I suggest doing your research first if you're not sure. A simple web search for "97 f150 blend door replace" should give you all the information…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Clarity
