If I used my old battery this keychain might work for me. But I didn't, the new battery clip doesn't hold the battery and when I pull it out I fix the problem, it also damages the locking button. I'm sure I can pay someone to fix this, but right now I'm just pulling the trigger for a new $330 keychain.

Both keychains I ordered were perfect. Don't buy them if you need a new remote control. These are skins that require adding your existing electronics to make them fully functional remotes. I easily transferred the insides of my old/broken Mercedes key fobs to the new shells, all functions work as expected. Very happy with the end result!

If you just want a blank key it's there, but if you want to try the circuit board replacement method it doesn't work. The contacts on the battery case were not properly made to connect properly to the circuit board, they do not align. Trust me I know what I'm doing and the inside of this keychain is nothing but a plastic replica, it serves no purpose.

This key worked on my 07 e350. I had to replace the green chip in the new key and use my old insert and it worked great! It's not 100% OEM, a bit cheap feeling, but if your original key is broken like mine, it's a better choice than the dealer! and again you have to parse your old key to make it literally work like a shell.

The small plastic latch in our 2006 E350 factory key broke and our key fob unlocking function became useless. My original key fob broke and I wanted to replace it with this case. The original key fob's circuit board fit this one perfectly, but the battery part just wouldn't slide all the way (exactly as shown in the picture posted here by another reviewer).
