My key fob did not lock or unlock the doors or open the trunk on my E350. I was told at the dealer that they do not swap out key fob chips for new cases because they do not work and need to be programmed. All this should have cost me at least 423.00 including programming for my machine. I read the reviews on this keychain and made a purchase and I'm thrilled I did! I was able to move the chip from my old key fob to the new case and replace the old key with the new uncut key that came with the new key fob. After turning off, I clicked on the padlock icon and I locked my car lock! This is a great product! It is quite heavy, as is the key fob that came with my E350. I was worried it wouldn't work because of what the lying Mercedes dealer said. The original price of $423.00 for my keychain repair turned into a $29.00 repair ($3 for next day shipping)! I would recommend this keychain to anyone who has a broken keychain. I will definitely buy it again.
