Not Worth the Investment

This compact fluorescent bulb was a complete waste of money. The light output was subpar and barely heated the terrarium. While it claims to be a cost-effective alternative to other heat lamp options, it fails to deliver. The only positive aspect about this bulb is its affordable price. Unfortunately, the cons override any benefits. This product is a disappointment and not worth the investment in pet supplies.

UV is still on!

Excellent lamp and works as advertised. I've had it for over 2 months now and it's still putting out powerful UV rays to keep my turtles healthy! Having the included map so you can check it regularly helps a lot!

Works as expected on heat lamps

I use this for a bearded dragon. Like most cages it has a metal mesh top and this bulb is housed in a reflector that sits just above the lid. It's 18 inches tall and when I put the card on the bottom of the tank it changes color quickly so I'm guessing enough UVB is falling that far. It only covers about half of the aquarium in this strong light (that's 40 gallons, so 36 inches long). So if you want to illuminate the entire aquarium with UV light, you need a second lamp.
