These are the highest quality lights I have ever bought for my bearded dragons. They work great and don't burn out my headlights as quickly as others I've used.

I didn't know there was a power limit they would turn off with an extension cord if they got too hot. I was hoping they could handle the higher power for reptiles.

Got these in 2020, a year has passed. They are connected to a thermostat so they are not on all the time. One of them works fine but the other seems to have a wiring problem. It will randomly stop working for a few weeks but suddenly start working again. I can't be mad that they weren't insanely expensive, but I also don't like it when my snake suffers from temperature changes.

I purchased 8.5" fittings for use with heat lamps in my new tank designs. My bearded dragon has the highest heat requirement and needs a 150W heater. I thought these bulbs were perfect - and they look and work really well - but when I got them I found they were only rated for 100w (despite the description saying otherwise several times). I will be using them for other projects but now I need to buy another mount for my beard that can actually handle 150 watts. :/

No problem here. Two things to know: 1. Any 5.5 inch dome allows heat to build up inside the dome due to the limited area around the bulb. So never use anything over 50-60W in a 5.5 inch dome no matter what the packaging says. Use an 8.5" dome or larger if you need more power.2.
