Got this for my older dogs. The non-slip textured surface on top is great, but the bottom is smooth vinyl that doesn't stick to my shiny wooden floor, it slides easily. So instead of my dog's paws sliding on the wood, they now slide across the floor on the mat and then bang against the wall/door, which is definitely no safer for my dogs. waste of money.

I ordered this for my newly installed hardwood floor for my kitchen, pantry and under plants.
