I love this controller. Works great with my Genesis mini and my original Genesis 1. I updated the firmware for both receivers before getting started. It should be noted that on the Genesis mini you normally press and hold the start button for a few seconds to exit the game you are playing and get into the Genesis mini menu. I do not recommend this if you are buying it to use with Switch like I did. I have a collection of Sega classics and it's completely useless for these games. There is no in-game button mapping option, nor can you map this controller through the Switch settings. That means you're stuck with a crappy layout for this collection.
