Bad Design: Computer Components

I wish I would like this case but the fact that the SSD to USB 3.0 cable causes a HUGE amount of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference , along with the front USB 3.0 port which is virtually unusable. Anything connected to this port reduces Bluetooth range to 1 foot and Wi-Fi is cut in half. If the case didn't have interference issues I would probably rate it 5 stars. With a wired controller there probably wouldn't be many problems using this case, but why bother when you can get a $25 Argon or a $15

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • There are bugs

I REALLY wanted to like it. Has some serious problems.

I really like this NES case for Pi4 because I have one for Pi3 and it works great. Pro controller) then the case is a bit thick and Bluetooth slows down or doesn't work at all. I noticed that there is a delay of about 1-2 seconds between the button press and the action in the game. But when I remove the Pi from the NES case and put it in a regular Pi case, there is no lag. You know this because as soon as you open the box you see a piece of paper in poor English that says that in this case…

Well made case - some features

Point of contention, 3 or 4 stars. the best they have released so far. - A cartridge to hold any 2.5 x 7mm SSD/HDD is a great idea. - Has a fan and a heatsink, no longer need to look for them separately. - Comes with a power adapter! What I was still messing around with and therefore "dislike":- If the official retroflag script is installed - due to a typo it will reboot instead of turning off the front panel power buttons. - On a vanilla Raspberry Pi operating system, stopping the operating…

DOES NOT WORK as described

I needed a good reliable gaming system so I bought an RPI4 (2GB) and installed a 1TB Samsung evo SSD. Well, first of all the NESPI4 case doesn't work the 2GB version IRPI4. I also had to buy a Kingston 960 SSD as the JMicron USB to SATA connection does not recognize the Samsung SSD. I also had to update the eeprom to 11th December 2020 on the 8GB RPI4 version before it worked. I also couldn't use any of the RetroPie stock images because they kept getting stuck on the intro screen. I'm seriously

DON'T LET THE NOSTALGIA CONCERN YOU. THIS IS NOT READY.

There are many detailed reviews out there so I'll keep it short and sweet. The hardware used internally is some of the cheapest I've come across. The fan is SUPER loud if you live in a quiet house (no pets or kids here)2. The thermal pads aren't even big enough for the chipset.3. There's also an issue with the USB bus they use, which doesn't properly take advantage of 3.0 speeds, and even more so for SSDs housed in a cartridge. There is also the problem that the case interferes with the WLAN…

THE PERFECT NES STYLE CASE!

This is an updated version without USB 3.0 on the front which I think is the best although others may vary. This is the end of all NES style cases. Check out the Pi console cases that are a perfect match for the retro consoles they are made in and it's everything I hoped it would be! It's even better than what Nintendo made for its NES Classic! It's got the right proportions, materials, and texture for the plastic, and the buttons click just like the original NES console, which the NES Classic…
