Metal sits weirdly on my teeth, I find silicone kind of gross but these are perfect. I love that there is a drawstring pouch and a wooden tube that is clean in the bag and dirty in the tube. Also so much cool!

When I opened the box it had a strong strange smell so I washed it really well a couple of times thinking maybe I could get rid of the smell and use it be able. nothing I managed to get rid of the smell. It wasn't a woody or natural smell, it was a strong chemical smell, nothing I would want my kids or husband to drink or anything.

I love these straws! I bought these for camping but will use them every day now. I like the travel case that allows me to keep it in my bag at all times. I prefer bamboo straws over glass (which broke in my bag) or stainless steel and are easy to clean with the brush provided. I'm really trying to reduce single use plastic and these straws make it easy for me. So happy with my purchase.

My wife and I have completely avoided plastic straws. Unfortunately, we haven't found any paper straws that last more than 10 minutes after getting wet. A friend of mine recommended we try these bamboo straws for a small BBQ we were planning, so we decided to give it a try. Overall we were very happy with them and have put them to good use for a couple of family gatherings. Cleaning the straws is a bit of a hassle, but it's worth it when you consider how much plastic we're saving.

It doesn't cause nausea, but it's not a desirable flavor to add to my drinks. Bamboo straws offer the "most normal" experience of drinking through a straw. They also do not soften when exposed to liquid.
