There must be fifty different satin nickel finish items in my house from half a dozen or more manufacturers. Installation. cloakroom facilities. kitchen appliances. This is the only one I've ever seen with a finish that doesn't even come close. I wanted to mix this wardrobe rod with a few others but the finish was so "unhappy" that I put them in the wardrobe separately.

Perfect for my Ikea Pax. Mounting holes do not match Pax. I had to line up the rear holes and then drill new holes in the Pax for mounting. At first I tried to align the front holes but the mounting plate was sticking out of the front edge of my Pax unit. It is made of durable steel, feeling of strength. I bought another bar brand to compare and it fell apart when unpacked! The Rev a Regal is well made and feels solid.

This extension pole is just too short to be used for its intended purpose. I have installed other retractable closet rails that extend 8-10 inches. This only slides out 5 inches leaving very little room to hang clothes. Its design and construction seems geared towards looking like part of an extending closet rod, but it's actually cheaply made and doesn't compare very well to other designs. He basically couldn't convey his looks.

I always flip the hanger and put something on every available shelf to put together an outfit. Or if for some reason I just don't want to put it in the right spot, it goes somewhere. Now I have a special place with easy access for all of this! I also use it to hang up my empty hanger when I've just taken something off the hanger to put on. So I don't have to search. This seems to be the only servant's staff that fits in my closet. My legs are only 11 inches deep and reviews and measurements of other available rods show that the body of the rod sticks out an inch more than my legs. I don't know if that's true as this rod is 12 inches long. Counting the held ball, and they may have counted that too. Other reviewers have claimed that this bar sticks, but one review pointed out that the bar can be rotated to tighten or loosen. I haven't had any problems yet…

This is a great idea and this particular model is solid and easy to install (you'll need a drill and a spirit level). There are a few things holding me back from getting 5 stars: 1) I ordered a brushed nickel and the finish is charcoal. It really doesn't match other brands' polished nickel hardware. Too bad I didn't go for chrome as I think it would really go better with the brushed nickel hardware. It doesn't matter since I installed it on the back of a 12" deep tall shoe rack in my closet…
