🔥 Revlon Perfect Heat Ceramic Curling Iron, 0.5 Inch Review

Purchased this product on October 8, 2017. It stopped working on November 4, 2017. It didn't warm up at all. I had to throw it away and tell Revain not to offer this item again. I was very disappointed and considered sending it back but threw away the paperwork with it.

You have to hold the power button down until the light comes on. This is not a defect! There is a heat adjustment, so obviously the amount of heat will determine the level of curl you get. It heats up quickly even if you adjust the temperature while styling. It's not meant to be used on wet hair (based on some reviews, some people think so?).

While I like the temperature control, the switch is poorly designed! This is a touch switch that requires minimal pressure to activate and is located just below the lever that opens and closes the curling iron. So often you find yourself turning it off in the middle of your attempts to curl your hair by simply sticking your hand in and/or slipping after releasing the lever. Extremely annoying!

I needed a 0.5 inch curling iron. I liked the price of the Revlon Perfect Heat ceramic curling iron and have had good luck with this brand in the past. The first curling iron was defective. malfunction. The same. Problem I had to switch to another brand.

Good size for short hair, heats up quickly and temperature range is decent. The power button location is a little fiddly and I sometimes accidentally turn it off when using it. Not sure how long it will last, but for now it's not bad, especially for what I paid for it.

I purchased this product in mid-June. I used the curling iron daily and just last weekend it stopped working. It had an auto shut off so I never bothered to turn it off but I think it burned out on its own. I've usually had great results with Revlon products, but I recommend that you don't rely on the auto shut off feature. So I sent it back and got another one. Fast forward to January 2018. He did that last week too! I am not a happy customer.

I don't like the new design of this curling iron. It's difficult to maneuver, the tip at the end is small and easily burns your finger when using it, and when you're trying to curl your hair with it, it's easy to press the on/off button. Also, he doesn't hold his hair very tight. I liked the Revlon one before but I'm very disappointed with this one. The cord doesn't rotate, so it's constantly wrapping itself around the curling iron and you have to constantly unwind it.

I have two of these and while they are great for quick heat up and auto shut off, both have lost the functionality of the hinge that works with the part that clips onto your hair in a brief moment time (one after about a week, the second after about a month) with normal use. Looks like a manufacturing defect or something. Basically, it becomes less and less able to pinch hair, making it pretty much useless.
