150 amp built-in DC and amps.

I liked the function of this product up to 150 amps with reading (more than my usage covers.) Suggest this for using your DC monitor. It's the same quality as a Power-Rwerkz rubber knife sheath over a plastic case that's comfortable to the touch. Both brands are difficult to see in the right sunlight, so this one is a winner. Good value for money, functional like others.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Frequency

Works great at a reasonable price

It works exactly as intended. Measures real-time, peak and cumulative total power. Similar models appear to be sold by US dealers for $14-$18, so $16.xx is acceptable. A better, brighter screen might be on my wish list, but it's good and legible in most situations. It was truly a plug and play performance monitor. I would buy again.

Very good, inexpensive network analyzer

Experiments with electric heating for camping. Added some Anderson Powerpole connectors to the power analyzer and connected in series with a 12v battery (cut from an old bus battery) and a 12v portable car defroster/heater and put the power analyzer in series. The power analyzer is easy to read and is within 0.02V of the charger and VOM measurements.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • There are shortcomings

Works great with my small solar array

I use this to track power production with a small solar panel installation (Rockpals 100w portable panel with their 300w backup power system). It works great and gives me information on how much power the panel is producing. very good attitude. I had to order some MC4 connectors to connect between the panels and the backup battery but it was pretty easy after watching a youtube video. All in all a great product and I am very happy with how well it works and how accurate it is.

Great meter, poor quality cable IMO

Does exactly what it says on the tin, no problem. The only thing that bothers me is the cheap quality cable. Your length is too short. I understand why as they are pre-tinned for soldering, but if you want to attach the connectors (Anderson power poles in my case) I had to cut out the tinned section and make the wiring even shorter. Then it's an extremely weak wire, making it difficult to connect other wires to the connectors. I was willing to ignore this as it is the equivalent of much more…

  • Handsfree
Cons

Inaccurate and not calibrated

Along with all the other complaints about this and similar ones sold under different names (short cables, hard to read screen, accuracy, exaggerated current handling etc. ) The manual is wrong in terms of cumulative values, for example it says 6554 watt hours. It returns to 0 at 655.4Wh. Amp hours are the same. It is not possible to calibrate volts and amps from a known accurate source. The power consumption clearly exceeds the value specified in the "manual". Only useful for radio control. Do…

It's good if you stay well below the advertised limits.

I bought about five of these. They are suitable for low voltage, but if you reach the rated voltage of 60V, wait with a fire extinguisher. Two of them went out in a blaze of glorious flames and putrid semiconductor smoke. And while I've never exceeded the suggested limit of 150A, I would never run more than 40A through the wires of these devices, and even that seems high. They work well down to 50V and I like the auxiliary input so the meter will work even if there is no voltage on either side.

  • good thing

I love Themeter

It's only fair that I update my review now that the product has actually arrived. Even if the order came in late for a project that was on hold, I love the counter. it works great and is exactly what i need. This is great value for money as I looked at a few on Amazon and it was 4 pages. It's definitely worth $20 and displays volts, amps and more. I only bought it for the amp function. My first shipping rating is still standing. It was unacceptable for you to change carrier on the day of…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Very important! in energy regulators

This is exceptional value compared to a PowerWerx wattmeter which is over three times the price. Performs all the same functions. Built exactly the same smaller power lines. The LED display is easy to read. I will uphold the complaints of others. Honestly, the wires here are too short. They're only about 2 inches long on each side, barely enough to handle most applications. Also, the tinning on the wire was too heavy, so the wires had to be cut to fit the yellow 10AWG spade connector. If I…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
