They work as intended. Remove the core from the presta valve, screw these things in and voila! Now you have a shredder attachment. I have used them to mount tubeless tires and they have worked great.

A compressor must be used for tubeless tires. Since the compressor air pump only works with Schrader valves, this device helped. I also tried a Schrader adapter before buying this one but they lack the center button that the compressor pump head needs to start pumping air.

I wish I could give these adapters 6 stars. I recently went tubeless and stayed with Presta valves. It's been 20 years and I forgot how much they suck! The plain brass adapters you see everywhere don't have a Schrader core and really just let you use an air compressor. You can't use Schrader gauges and hand pumps are a concern with this type.
