High quality product

Rigid makes high quality products at a bargain price. This vise is used almost all day every day and is our second vise due to increased production.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive

Tool at the highest level.

This is the ideal solution for holding plumbing fittings and parts in place without slipping. We have used the standard vise in our shop for many years with the risk of slipping and injury. Rigid is more expensive than other brands, but you know that with Rigid you have a tool for life!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Now this will work fine. I built a stand for this.

Everything should work now. I built a stand for it out of two pieces of 3//4" plate and 6" pipe and bolted it to the concrete. When I started screwing it onto the 3/4" plate, I found the bottom of the vise wasn't flat. So I had to machine it flat. This is a good, very strong vise, but be sure to check his flatness before attempting to screw it to a table, otherwise you could damage the cast iron it's made of.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
