Good to know there is a pump repair kit instead of buying a new one. I have an 07 GTI with a 2.0t engine so I assumed the kit would work but the larger o-ring would not stay in the groove. I ended up having to put an actual sticky pad on the o-ring to hold it in place. enough time to put the cover back on. Time will tell what flows.

The most expensive gasket I have ever bought but it works even though I just replaced the big one because it failed. Changed two weeks ago, no more leaks. I would recommend thoroughly cleaning the aluminum cap before replacing it to ensure you can spot any leaks after replacing that super expensive rubber seal.

Only here I found a gasket kit with boot lid seal for Audi 2.0 vacuum pump! I figured that instead of replacing the entire pump, it would be worth trying just the gasket kit. I only got 50 miles after repacking the gaskets but the car runs surprisingly better and after 30 miles the check engine light went out. The oil leak has stopped, the vacuum leak has stopped. Performance Restored!

the vacuum leak needed to be fixed urgently. The o-rings are slightly smaller than the originals which made it difficult to install the cap as the o-ring kept popping out. Second, the vacuum port o-ring is not flat like the original and had PITA to reattach the port. After everything was installed, however, it didn't leak for several days. Replaced the o-rings for the vacuum pump inside and what is attached to the side of the timing valve chain. Was a bit confused as my pump is slightly different. But seriously, after removing the pump I found the previous one. Mechanic. broke the mounting ear and smeared it with silicone to hide his sin. However, the new O-rings fit great and keep them sealed. All old ones had severe compression set; The one on the nipple valve leaked heavily.
