Brake Buddy has performed best in towing products and winches

Instructions were easy to follow, took a couple of hours to install. Made my own seat mount adapter out of a 1/4" flat bar. Towed my Rubicon 3,000 miles behind on a trip this month. Wish me the best of luck.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Great product fits towbars

Works great as everyone said, took me 10 hours to fit, for me it was worth it, I've driven it several thousand miles, lots of hills If you have air brakes , this is the only way.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works but allow enough time for installation if you do it yourself

I chose this product because it was cheaper than alternatives. It is not easy to install for the average master. This lasted 3 to 4 days. We used it once on a trip and it seems to have served its purpose.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

It was as described, exactly what I wanted.

It was exactly as described what I wanted. The "fun" part is finding a spot for the breakaway tank by holding it almost upright, but that's not the Road Master's fault. Car manufacturers don't leave much room for such adjustments.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Many items

RoadMaster Air Braking System

This image is outdated. When I saw this online I figured the pie would come with the device. It's not like that anymore. The road builders changed the design so you had to buy a separate seat mount above the braking system. This meant my installation had to wait until I received the seat mount. Once I had all the parts installed everything was pretty easy and installing the emergency brake reservoir took the most time to figure out.

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Nothing

Very easy to connect and get started! Ready to drive in 10 minutes!

This is an AMAZING towed vehicle braking system! It really wasn't that difficult to install and we also bought a second car kit. It has already saved us. We drove down the freeway in our 40 foot RV and a Chevy Silverado 4x4 towed in the back. The lady in the car slammed on the brakes to pull into the driveway so I had to panic stop! We approached 15 to 20 feet from her and ended up behind her! If I hadn't had this braking system, we would have had an accident for sure! Very glad we bought!

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I will add later

Great option and cheaper!

Takes hours or more to install, but anyone with a car can do it themselves. It is difficult to find places on the vehicle to install devices. However, it works great and is very easy to set up and take with you to tow. A great option for those with a diesel/air brakes setup and works proportionally to how hard you press the brake in the setup to stop. This is especially useful when towing something heavier than a small car in traffic. About half the price of this huge brake box that can fail is

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Not the best
