Slow Response Best in Meat

did not rate this review highly. Simply because I've only used it once since I got it. I used it on a pork chop and it took forever to read. I'll try again and see what happens.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Makes Me Angry

Junk (China) good for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I thought this would make a nice addition to my kitchen, with a red dial indicator. I made a mistake again, when I opened the package the red indicator fell to the ground, I tried to collect for 15 minutes without success, so they threw it in the garbage chute.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Functionality

Easy to clean, big enough to read!

I love this meat thermometer! I struggle with meat thermometers that are too small to read, stop working after a few months, and are impossible to clean. It has big numbers that I can read from the outside of the oven window, it can be submerged in water to clean (it says dishwasher safe but I'm not risking it) and it works. I've only had it for about a month but I think it will outlast everyone else because it's so durable and washable.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • I will add later

The red arrow makes the difference

Why doesn't every thermometer have an easily adjustable display for the target temperature? So you don't have to squint for long when the oven or grill door is open. UPDATE: There is a serious design flaw. When you turn the handle, for example while cleaning or just when handling, the indicator needle moves with the temperature scale. This may make the thermometer very inaccurate. To reset it, place the stem in boiling water and turn the stem/dial to read 212F. There is no lock nut to keep it…

Pros
  • understandable even for old people
Cons
  • out of fashion

The red arrow solves everything

Why not every thermometer has a display with which you can easily set the target temperature? So you don't have to squint for long when the oven or grill door is open. UPDATE: There is a serious design flaw. When you turn the handle, for example while cleaning or just when handling, the indicator needle moves with the temperature scale. This makes the thermometer inaccurate, perhaps to a large extent. To reset it, place the stem in boiling water and turn the stem/dial to read 212F. There is no…

Pros
  • Insert the pointed end into the thickest part of the meat without touching the bone, slide the red indicator to the desired temperature, cook the recipe
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is in Order

Spend more and get what works.

If you're looking to save money on a meat thermometer, I recommend at least two reasons. 1) If the thermometer you receive is the same as the one I received, you will end up replacing it, spending money on the first one. 2) You can also consider the cost of spoiled meat. We have a big discount on premium ribs at Costco, so a faulty thermometer only cost me about $75 in spoiled meat. Can you still eat meat – definitely. But it's not how I want it, and I don't buy a great piece of meat to have it

Pros
  • The SINARDO roasting thermometer accurately measures the internal temperature to properly cook the meat and keep it juicy as it roasts until golden brown on the outside
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Simple and accurate! in thermometers and timers

I have electronic temperature sensors that work with my smoker and grill, but over time they stopped working or didn't work properly. So I wanted to try a simple analog meat temperature sensor. I liked the big dial and they seemed to fit the ticket. So I bought two (the price is very reasonable) and used them in my grill and smoker to see how they work. Well they worked great and even with the smoker door it was easy enough to read. I set the motion gauge to 165 (set temperature for my chicken)

Pros
  • Made of stainless steel; without Bisphenol-A; large, easy-to-read 2.5-inch dial with safe temperature readings; Red Temperature Gauge with Moving Target
Cons
  • Compatibility
