Unreliable Outside Caliper with Poor Quality

Based on my observations, this outside caliper is definitely not worth the investment. The quality is honestly terrible and the measurements are completely off. It is not even suitable for basic industrial and scientific use - a complete waste of money.

Pros
  • Perhaps it looks appealing in the product photo
Cons
  • Inaccurate measurements, poor quality

Perfect calipers for what I do

Perfect calipers for what I do. I make fly rods so I usually just measure the outside diameter or set the depth on the first turn. Great little piece. Nothing extraordinary, but never fails.

Pros
  • Made in France
Cons
  • So far so good

New Woodturner user.

I recently bought a used wood lathe and took on a project to make new antique chisel handles for my son. I quickly realized I needed a way to rotate the grips to the correct size and taper and this does the perfect job. Let's just say the instrument is much more accurate than me. No woodturner should be without this tool unless they know something I don't. The quality is good and no problems so far.

Pros
  • Made with quality products
Cons
  • Quick Guide
