Like the others on Power & Hand Tools

that has a stapler that fires as fast as the M16. The first day or two worked great. Then he started firing 5-6 staples at a time, as if the trigger was stuck. I thought maybe it was overheating but it felt cold. The next day it worked again. About twenty shots fired. The last two days nothing but rate of fire. Just in case, I inserted a strip of staples and pulled the trigger. I blew off the entire strip in about 10 seconds. When I try to staple the carpet, it fires about 6 staples at a time…

As if I bought the worst port freight

I bought 2 because I always have a backup. I am a carpet fitter with over 40 years of experience. In the first year I would say that one of them was questionable and voiced my concerns, but I was willing to go along with it and do it in my support. Since then one or the other part has broken. It's like I bought the worst merchandise on port charters. Almost all problems are related to the lining and exist because it is made of very poor materials, that is, poor quality metals. When I asked…

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING

In a word "garbage”. There's a pin holding the trigger and it doesn't quite fit. The pen will inevitably fall out and the trigger will fall out while you are in the middle of a work, and it keeps falling out. I bought a second gun as a spare, same thing. So far it holds a spot of epoxy glue. Both guns are fairly new, the one I heated up was plugged in and just lay on the stairs and started making noise and it started smoking. If I hadn't been there to turn it off it would have caught fire I'm…

No better than cheaper alternatives

I have 2 other electric staplers, Arrow and Bostitch. Both sell for about 1/3 that Roberts. Honestly, they work just as well as Roberts. Unlike Roberts, they use easily accessible braces. Despite the tall 15-amp solenoid, Roberts won't drive a 9/16-inch clamp in oak, eucalyptus, hard maple, and some plywood. It works well on soft materials like pine, fir and softer plywood. Despite the large solenoid, it leaves 9/16. The 16" staples (yes, the correct DuoFast) protrude about 1/8" above the…

Fantastic construction stapler, very powerful and accurate

I was trying to staple 2-4 layers of marine vinyl to 3/4 inch thick furniture plywood. Staple guns, one from Walmart and one from Home Depot. Walmart had put maybe 1 out of 10 staples right. Home Depot got maybe 1 out of 4 staples right. Incredibly disappointed after spending loads of time and money making something that shouldn't have been that difficult, I started looking online for electric staple guns. I finally settled on this one because it had great reviews and didn't need an air…

It literally failed on the very first pull of the trigger

After reading the reviews I bought this as my electric upholstery stapler had just given up and I have some big jobs to do this week. Ordered on Friday, arrived 2 hours ago on Sunday evening. Gotta love the Prime Minister. Decided based on reviews and first class shipping as the other brand I usually use isn't in Revain and doesn't show up until Thursday or Friday. Nicely blown body, the gun feels good in the hand and feels solid. To my great dismay, the Roberts stapler failed on the FIRST EVER

That's incredible! for stapler and stapler

After reading the reviews I bought this stapler to dress up some plain bar height chairs in our corner/family room with faux cowhide. I used to only upholster once and used a cheap electric stapler that had no power and just killed my hands and didn't want to go through it again. I almost went for the pneumatic model but didn't want to buy a compressor and have all that bulk. This construction stapler is amazing. It's easy to use, download and has a real buzz. The clamp heads are smaller than…

It works but don't expect it to last more than a year.

The stapler worked fine for the first 6-8 months of use. After that, he began to remove two staples at once, but quite rarely. Over time, the frequency of the double shot increased, and he sometimes began to shoot 3 or 4 staples at once. Finally, about a week before the one-year warranty expired, the gun completely stopped firing. Luckily we were able to send it back to Roberts for warranty repairs, but note that we had to spend about $14 on shipping to get it sent, but they paid for return…

THIS IS AN ELECTRIC STAPLER FOR BUY

I just finished a cafeteria chair upholstery project with my sister. This stapler is amazing. Not a single jam and so easy to use. For my last project like this, I bought an electric stapler from a local hardware store. It was just a mess. Jams, noise, awkward handling, the staples don't always penetrate the wood etc. When the job was done the stapler was also empty and had to be taken back to the shop as the plastic around the stapler head was broken. . This Roberts stapler is made of high…

Essential for laying a carpet!

I decided to make life easier for my pup, who was afraid of walking up and down wooden stairs, by laying a rug for him. At first I thought I would use my powerful hand stapler but after reading a lot of blogs and watching YouTube videos I changed my mind. I considered renting this model from Home Depot, but renting it for a week was almost the same as buying it here. So I ordered it along with the recommended staples. It arrived within 2 days (Hooray Prime!) and I was so excited to get started.

Pros
  • Staplers and staple guns
Cons
  • Very expensive
