Great plug and play device

plug and play with no hassles and drivers. You will need both a SATA cable and a power cable to do this. You'll also likely plug in a USB 2.0 connector and then use the cable to get to the motherboard. The baud rate 3.0 worked great. If you listen carefully with the side of the case removed, you should be able to hear it even when the computer is off, but once you close the case you won't hear it anymore.

Pros
  • feel good
Cons
  • trouble happens

Great product but not well designed.

I love the concept of this product. A card that uses the PCIe slot for nothing more than a place to plug in, instead the product communicates with the motherboard via a header port and even offers a place to connect USB 3.0 headers on the front. However, despite the cool concept, the product has a design flaw that kills it for me. For some reason the card causes my CPU fan to spin up and the optical drive to turn on when the computer has gone to sleep or even shut down completely. I ordered two

Works perfectly ! in I/O Port Cards

I had a problem with active x1 USB expansion cards on my computer and this solved it by serving as a 3.0 jack hub on my motherboard. . While it's true that this card doesn't use the X1 slot to add another electrically active USB 3.0 5Gb/s controller, it allows me to get powered ports on the back of my computer where I need them need, and still provide as a pass-through device to which I then connect the USB 3.0 frontbay device cable. You won't magically get another 5Gb/s USB controller and the…

Not a real USB3 expansion card!

THIS IS NOT A PCIe USB ADAPTER! This is a USB hub on a PCIe slot card with a NULL interface or powered from a PCIe bus slot. This requires an internal USB3 connector on the motherboard for the data connection and an internal power connector to power the card for use. You might as well buy an external USB3 hub and get 7 ports and not bother with this lame bunch of crap. Keep looking, there are true PCIe cards out there for the same money.

  • nice thing
Cons
  • almost everything ok
