I thought they would be good for air drying my hair but they are clearly not designed for that. After watching a few tutorials on YouTube, I realized that they should be used primarily on dry hair. They really do not twist, but give volume and shape. So you dry your hair about 90 percent, then put on curlers and let it dry completely.
