Description of Rolyan Splinting Material Aquaplast T Single

Aquaplast-T thermoplastic splinting material has moderate conformability and moderate resistance to stretch, making this material extremely versatile when fabricating custom a custom splint or orthosis. Splinting sheet is solid and has overall measurements 1/8" x 6" x 9". Flexible and moldable material is ideal for serial splints and experienced splinters who can contour it to patients limbs and extremities. Can be used for economical splinting due to its 100% memory which promotes frequent reheating and splint revisions. Material is coated, allowing for temporary bonds by pinching heated surfaces together or a permanent bond removing the coating.

"Flexible and Easy-to-Mold Aquaplast T

This plastic material is a life-saver for orthopedic applications .It is highly flexible, easy to mold, and holds its shape well. The high-quality surface finish ensures a professional look. It is perfect for creating custom splints or braces that fit the patient's body precisely..

Pros
  • Highly flexible, easy to mold, professional finish
Cons
  • Limited use beyond medical applications

Flimsy and Ineffective Aquaplast T

Based on our own experience, this plastic material is a poor choice for splinting. It bends and warps easily making it difficult to mold to the patient's needs. The only positive aspect we found was that it was easy to cut. However, this single benefit does not make up for the overall disappointment of the product. We do not recommend this material for professional use..

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting splinting material.
Cons
  • Difficult to shape and mold, requiring a higher skill level to use effectively.

Works like a splint used by an orthopedic surgeon.

Easy to work with, this material is just what we were looking for. I had surgery on a couple of fingers, and I had to "make" the cord to copy what the surgical assistant in the office was doing. (what he made didn't fit as well as I would have liked so I took it and made it myself) Great product!

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Some bugs
