Works great. Inexpensive and fairly easy to replace. Breathing new life into a blender that was about to be thrown away.

Not good. Does not meet OEM specifications and will cause slippage. Spend a few bucks more and get OEM. Don't waste your time.

This Worm Gear was just what I needed for my 2003 KitchenAid Lift Bowl Mixer. The hardest part was pulling the pin out of the planetarium, but then it's not that difficult. Keep an eye out for YouTube videos and save yourself the hassle of buying a new mixer!

Works but is nowhere near the original. I managed to fix the blender and now I can make cupcakes. Just cake batter. I tried kneading dough for bread but the mechanism doesn't support heavy dough. As many have said, the bond between the plastic and the metal doesn't seem strong enough. Now I've bought a serial device and I hope it works.

I'd love to give a good review but I've learned the hard way that modesty doesn't pay in this case. Once you have the equipment installed and try to mix thick products like dough or biscuits, the equipment will slip and you will wonder if there is something else wrong with your mixer. The gear simply pushes onto a metal bushing so it slips with every push. Do yourself a favor and spend more money on original equipment so you don't have to replace it again.

This was a defective product. The nylon ring was properly attached to the metal hub and the mixer ran with little strain, but once the cookie mixture had thickened with flour or oatmeal, the nylon gear turned on the hub. At first I thought it was an engine problem and spent some time troubleshooting the engine, but later found that if I clamped the hub in a vise and turned the notched ring with channel locks, the nylon would engage the hub.
