Rosebud Lip Balm: Brambleberry Rose.8 Ounce - Nourishing and Hydrating Lip Care Review

First of all, for some reason I had nothing but trouble with that damn can. The cover is very difficult to remove. Unlike others I've had, this one is a bit odd. It's thinner and doesn't last as long on my lips as others. My favorite is still the Original Rose -

It's just petroleum jelly mixed with artificial colors and fragrances. The smell is pleasant, but definitely not natural. I assumed it was a small batch, all natural products. I was wrong. Don't let the cute little "mom and dad" style fool you. It's literally just tinted petroleum jelly.

The only reason I gave four stars is because the jar it comes in cannot be opened! I actually picked up the product as soon as it was finally opened and put it in a different container. Apart from this test I like the taste. It tastes like honey raspberry to me and the color is very transparent, almost transparent with just the right amount of shine. I'm a fan of all Rosebud lip balms, but this jar is hard to open.

Smells of berries and roses, yummy! I've tried almost every rosebud balm and this one seems to be less moisturizing than the others. Instead of being thick and smooth, it has a finer watery texture. For this reason I prefer to use it during the day and use the thicker Rosebud balms at night (my lips are very dry). As with all these balms, the jar is sometimes difficult, if not impossible, to open. So if you have a problem with that, consider buying something in a tube. I had to use the rubber…

I gave this balm 3 stars, on average 5 stars for the lip balm and 1 star for the packaging. The container was so tight I literally had to mangle it to open it, and even then it only opened after I used a screwdriver, a steak cutter, and one of those rubber grips you use to open cans. I transferred the balm to another container and otherwise enjoyed it. Very thick, pleasant smell/taste, does not melt on the lips.

I had high hopes for this as I've had great experiences with all the other products from this brand but this one didn't even come close. The smell was terrible! It didn't smell like berries at all, it actually smelled good. There was a weird and sickly sweet smell of urine like someone had urinated in the bed and let it dry and there was a smell, that's what it smelled like. Not satisfied at all and not worth going back. I threw it in the trash.

I don't know how I managed without this product. This really is the best lip balm I've ever bought, the consistency is almost like petroleum jelly but better. I can't describe it so well, it's velvety smooth! The pink shade isn't very pigmented so it's very suitable for everyday wear, not only does it keep my lips smooth but it heals chapped areas almost instantly! I love this product, I have it in a tube too. Highly recommended!

Received in the mail today. While Minted Rose remains my favorite scent, I'm in love with Brambleberry Rose because it leaves a beautiful light pink-purple glow! You don't even need to apply it with lipstick, lips look healthy. And as always, these are one of the few products that don't completely suck the life out of my lips. I use them night and day - there's always a jar in my purse or on the bedside table. So exciting!

This lip balm is very comfortable. It soothes my dry lips and smells nice. The only problem is opening the container yourself. I was getting dressed for work in the dark early one morning and who told me to put lotion on my hands before trying to open that little jar?! suffering suffering, he just didn't open up!
