They are sand cast and lightly machined, I smoothed the outside edge and varnished the inside, good value for money. Center holes are drilled off center, definitely not for heavy, frequently moved items - I'm making an industrial style table that rarely moves.

I bought these wheels for a cart that fits in a powder coat oven (large) and they work great. Since the oven is heated to a temperature of 400 degrees, there must be no rubber or plastic on it, otherwise they will melt. They work great and I've been using them every week since I received them.

Top bearing ok, turns well at the top, but without the middle bearing the wheel doesn't want to turn as easily either. When the weight is on it, you have to push off to the side. Wouldn't buy again. Find better quality with a wheel bearing, not just a top pivot. Total load was 450 pounds on 4 casters.

I bought these to put gorilla shelving in my basement. Most reels like this are quite expensive, but it's a good price. They're cast iron, so I wouldn't use them on finished surfaces, but they're great for my basement and garage. Smooth wheels, smooth turning, very strong (can bear a lot of weight compared to rubber wheeled counterparts). I've bought about 30 of these now and think they're a good product that I would recommend.

We have had great luck with these reels. I have a small wood shop so most things have to be moved on casters and these casters are just right for an unfinished floor. Just use 2x4 and attach these videos and you have a mobile shop. They appear to be completely maintenance free, just blow off the sawdust and some WD-40 and they're good as new. I've tried polyurethane rubber coated rollers and while they are smoother they just deteriorate in the heat.
