🚘 Rostra 250-3592 Dash Mounted Cruise Control Switch Review

Got this and the Cruise module for about $300 together. Having a lead foot and having previously received a $360 speeding ticket made this a money saving investment.

See my post on the Rostra drive unit. The switch is easy to install. I added an RTV on the back to protect it from moisture and rain. Works perfectly! highlighted.

It turns out I didn't need it. But I might keep it sometime in the future, so mostly I'll keep it because if it's overpriced today, then sometime in the future when I really need it, it's going to be ridiculously overpriced. So life is.

Bought to use with Rosta's cruise control on my Miata. Still has to be installed, but I didn't want another lever on the steering column. It mounts on the dash (blank on top of the stereo) just in front of the shifter and within reach of your fingertip.

The switch is flimsy and cheaply made and the cover doesn't adhere well to the base. Had to trim the plastic a bit to get a better fit but it still doesn't fit very well. For this price I expected much better materials and a much higher quality.

I replaced the horrible cruise control on a 1988 XJS Jaguar with this switch and Rostra system. And it has worked flawlessly for the last year and continues to work. Excellent technical support also from the Rostra staff during the installation of the system. Completely satisfied with this system.

I bought and installed the aftermarket cruise control for my little Ford Ranger and it was the dash mounted switch for it. My Ranger has an automatic transmission and cruise control, although quite expensive, was one of the things I wished for the most. .I don't do a lot of miles a year but it's REALLY nice to have cruise control and cruise control and that switch works fine.
