It turned out a little smaller than I thought.

It's a little smaller than I thought. I was skeptical at first and wanted to return it, but I tested it and it had just enough room for my 200ft of 10.5mm diameter static rope. I am planning to buy another one for my dynamic rope.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Expandable

Much smaller than advertised

The bag is advertised as 17" x 12", which means it is 12" in diameter. When full, it rarely exceeds 6 inches in diameter. When advertising bag sizes, you should state the actual sizes to be used and not lay flat and empty.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Nothing

attached sprockets for fabric quality and easy removal sideways, shown in the picture but which are not present but they do the job with a 150 ft -11.4 storm rope plus a 13ft safety rope with enough room. I'm satisfied, but access to the side rope would be satisfactory.

Pros
  • absolute legend
Cons

just the right size, not great but ok

I figured I could use an external strap as advertised to hold the spring links but I can't stand the rattling in my car so I use them very sparingly. the duffel bag is a regular item with a very good size for a small hoist; I use my kit to lift heavy objects in or out of my car or up and down stairs and it works great for holding anything up.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Good but not great

From the box and bag the material seems durable.

New climbing rope 60.96 m (200 ft) x 11.2mm has been placed in the bag. You just had to be patient and slowly "massage" the rope. The bag has loops at both ends of the top with a zip to attach a shoulder strap. That being said, my only complaint would be that the bag doesn't have a shoulder strap for carrying. A bit of rope will solve this problem.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Quality

11.4mm rope less than 100ft (probably)

I don't see more than 100ft of 11.4mm rope that will fit in this bag without a shoehorn, serious greasing and running up ( z forward, head first). It must be at least a third larger to be considered a "tactical" rope bag. On the other hand, it has loops on the outside for hanging shit. A 150 foot 9mm rope can work when lured from a great height.

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • Minor issues

Decent rope bag for shorter lengths.

I could easily fit 50m (164ft) of 10mm static rope in this bag. It's almost full, but I could probably stuff another 10 feet of rope in if I had to. The slot/hole at the end makes it easy to attach the bag and clip it to the side or leg. I personally use the side pocket with the Petzl GriGri+ and DMM Big Boa carabiners. It was purchased specifically for shorter personal search and rescue needs. For my heavier/bigger ropes, I usually prefer CMC bags.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Great bag for specific purposes. Not waterproof!

I have had this bag for about 5 years. I have abused this bag the same way a piece of gear can be abused. I bought it for a lot less and figured I could take it apart and get another if it broke. However, it never broke, which is why I am writing about it here. I take this bag on a hike from the beaches of the Florida Everglades to Chokoloskey Island Park. Holds rope and tools I don't mind getting wet/sandy. It's not dry so don't expect it. There is a velcro hole at the back end of the bag. I…
