Won't last. best spares

Bought this trackbar in October. Get in the jeep. It's March and already broken. A month ago, he began receiving near-death vibrations. The local 4WD shop advised that a steering rack with a ball joint end on the side of the frame shouldn't be the last. They're a weak point given the force being exerted on the trackbar. So I just spent another $200 to replace this one. I would not recommend buying.

Pros
  • certified
Cons
  • no work

I picked up a '99 Cherokee with a 2" kit from another supplier. They did not supply the extended crossbar and stated that it was not necessary. Work was delayed a few days until I received this adjustable stretch from ROUGH COUNTRY. He does whatever he has to do. I have a new brick that doesn't fit that I bought on bad advice from others.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Powerful device, works as advertised and I was able to.

Powerful unit, works as advertised and I was able to re-true the front end after replacing worn steering and suspension parts on my '98 XJ. Only complaint, the car is not regulated - you have to solder one end, regulate, reinstall, remeasure; rinse, repeat if necessary. Of course, auto or "dual adjustable" setups are a lot more expensive in comparison, so you get what you pay for.

You are looking for tie rods

Fits a '91 XJ Cherokee with 3" lift kit. Sloppy steering and handling issues have been resolved, this was part of the restoration of the entire front steering system. This allows the front axle to be properly trued , which is very important for alignment. It's heavier than stocks. With a lot of measuring points and a lot of patience, you can get it right. Remember that you have to take off the top end every time you make adjustments. It took me about 6 Time until everything was aligned.Having…

screws straight. Easily adjustable. No need to drill the bearing mount.

Installed a 4 inch lift kit on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It was a budget lift kit and the instructions said to drill another hole in the truck mount and reuse the stock truck. I'm not a fan of drilling holes in carrier mounts if you can avoid it. This adjustable Rough Country Track Bar was a great addition to my budget lift kit and, very importantly, allowed for additional fine adjustments to ensure each wheel was evenly spaced from the springs and centered under the truck. I ran Sundays 7 days

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Damaged

An absolute must for your XJ

Received quickly from the manufacturer. The quality is excellent and the ball joint end as well as the socket end are interchangeable unlike the stock end. Be sure to read the section in the instructions on how to adjust the length. Basically you use a plumb line from the top of the spring (same spot on each side) and measure to the back of the caliper. Compare both sides and lengthen or lengthen the bar by 1/2 that amount to center it. I adjusted, rolled, checked and adjusted a little more…

Great product but you will probably need more details.

Pros: Rough Country has a bad reputation but I've been using their 97 TJ products for a while now and have no complaints. Installing this part correctly and ensuring correct torque setting on the two screws is easy. The adjustment is a bit rough if you didn't center the axle on the first try, but that has a lot to do with the Jeep's design. You need to remove, adjust and reinstall the track. This alone will not cure a fatal wobble or swipe steer! Don't expect this to be the solution to all…
