Package received and thought it was too small, wrong belt. After 3 minutes my old vacuum cleaner works like new. Using a fairly small 8" Phillips screwdriver as a pry bar, make sure the left side of the strap (twist) is facing you through the front removable access plug. Press the belt lightly against the motor to ensure it is properly seated, check and you are done. Don't think it takes more than 2 minutes to change it a second time.

These are fucking Dirt Devils, they are awesome. belts replaced. Used with no problems. Teenage daughter "tried" to use, there is smoke. She wants a "belt, belt" from a school tree. At that moment, her amazing brain kicked in and realized that yelling at me early on a Saturday morning wasn't the best way out. But yes, the belt swings. There were actually two, will I wrap them up for my girls birthday?!

I was a little concerned that the installation would be difficult based on other reviews. Luckily I have a belt replacement tool on my Dyson vacuum. It looks like a small ice hook with a T-handle. Worked perfectly to grab belt, pull tight and slide onto shaft. I also learned that before you put the belt on the shaft you need to put the beater brush back in place. I "saved" the second strap by putting it on the hose attached to the vacuum cleaner. Now I will have no problem finding it next time…

This is the third belt I've bought in my search for the right belt for the original Little Lux handheld vacuum, model number 1673BA. Here is finally the right thing. I have one from the early 90's with a switch on a blue handle, a cloth pouch with a belt in the middle of the brush. The strap does not clog, is smooth and short. I'm writing all this in hopes of helping someone else who is having the same problem. Many websites, including vacuum cleaner suppliers, will list the wrong belt for this
