I was a little concerned that the installation would be difficult based on other reviews. Luckily I have a belt replacement tool on my Dyson vacuum. It looks like a small ice hook with a T-handle. Worked perfectly to grab belt, pull tight and slide onto shaft. I also learned that before you put the belt on the shaft you need to put the beater brush back in place. I "saved" the second strap by putting it on the hose attached to the vacuum cleaner. Now I will have no problem finding it next time I need to change the belt!
