Rubbermaid Commercial Lambswool Duster with Telescoping Plastic Handle - Efficient Dusting Tool for Commercial Use Review

The "telescopic" handle does not hold the position you bring it forward. It is VERY cheap and flimsy when fully stripped and is a HUGE disappointment for a Rubbermaid product. I bought it because Rubbermaid is such a household name, but not anymore, at least to me. The only nice feature is the lambswool dust head.

I've used this to wipe down tall lamps and fans and to get cobwebs out of corners. For that it worked really well. It would have been more convenient if it was a bit longer or had a curve to make it easier to reach the top of the fan blade, but those with those features cost three times as much. It definitely worked.

This item would be great if it really stretched without falling apart. It works great when not stretched and makes a good feather duster. However, if you need the length, that's not how it works. I glued it to an extended length and now it almost works - it's still unstable and loose even when glued. And then, of course, it's not possible to slide it back for vacuuming or storage.

The extended lever is solid unlike other reviews. I've had real feather dusters before, but this one isn't quite real. It does reach high places, though, and a shake here or there should clear it up. I haven't washed it and probably won't unless it's very dirty. Remember this is not an industrial duster. It is good for light cleaning. Good buy.

I just received the cloth and immediately thought it didn't look like sheep's wool. After use, it seemed to pick up dust fairly well, but left rag-like fibers that looked like animal hair. Thinking it might just be some loose fibers, I tried rubbing it lightly but the pieces kept coming loose in my hand. I'll try a little more, but I'll be back if this keeps up.
