I have used these as razor barrels and they work as advertised. I bought 6 and plan to buy more.

It's a little expensive but worth it in the long run. Unlike a flimsy metal drum cart, Rubbermaid drum carts do not shift when moved, and they also serve as a small container to catch those inevitable spills that spill over the top of the drum. I bought one for my new oil and went back to get two more for my used oil drums. The rollers are big, strong and make moving a full drum easy.

My water softener has separate tanks for brine and resin. The salt tank holds 450# salt and is located in the basement just in front of the water clock. To gain access to the counter and other plumbing, I placed the brine tank on this nifty heavy-duty cart so I could wheel it to the side if needed.
