Easily fits a 7 month old puppy. There is velcro. My standard poodle puppy weighed 50 pounds. I'm not sure if he'll make it to July 4th and still be ok, but we'll try. My older Standard Poodle who weighed 60lbs but was the same size couldn't put it on his chest. The hat stayed lightly on Isaac. He wasn't worried. He wore it to a kennel event and it was so busy he forgot the hat!

I have a 1 1/2 year old Great Dane with a 22" neck and about 37.5" chest, he weighs 120 pounds and size XXXL fits him. It's a bit big in the waist and the cape is too long, but after some tweaking with some extra velcro and a little glue, it worked. The material is nice and silky and it's a great Halloween costume. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars was that I had to purchase additional material to make adjustments. Overall I am happy and my dog is very cute.

I bought this costume for my Maltese to wear on the 4th of July. i love fabric The hat fitted perfectly and as far as I remember it was made to attach the hat to the dog's head. The bodysuit worked perfectly except I noticed that part of the cape didn't stay on the dog's back. That's why I gave 4 stars here. I bought this for my Maltipu on the 4th of July and people just loved this suit! The size was exactly as stated. The quality of the fabric and tailoring is good. My only question was about the odd little black "skirt" attached to the vest. I didn't see the point in it so I just cut it off.
