🧲 RUGCEL Electric Winch - 12V, 2000lb/907kg, Single Line - Waterproof Review

Used once and something on the reel broke. Didn't even come close to the £2,000 mark, but it broke. Lesson learned, don't buy a cheap chick.

I installed it on my aluminum cargo trailer for loading heavy items. I bought another bracket to attach to the front of the trailer. reinforce it 2x4. Works well.

I installed this on the back of a Rokon AT. I needed a low end winch and also one that wouldn't draw more than 30 amps. I use it to load onto a truck and leave places I shouldn't have gone. It has manual controls.

Kit does NOT include washers or lock washers, nor does it include a red flag to attach to the hook. All items are included in the user manual or in the box. I hope the quality of the block is better than the quality control of the assembly of the package! There will be more after going to the store for the parts I didn't have enough of. Pretty sticky!

Had tunnel and elbow surgery and was afraid I wouldn't be able to sit up in bed with my right hand so I wall mounted the winch Use any 1/4 inch threads in a convenient spot to help me get out of bed without straining my repaired arm. The 2000# winch will easily topple a person 170#! I love it when a plan works out.

I would give it five stars but the knobs are reverse labeled so I have to reverse the polarity to get the motor turning in the right direction. The roll off cover is very low quality cheap plastic, I'll lathe it out of stainless steel and put it on. Otherwise great for raising and lowering 100-200 pounds on a reel. I haven't used it to pull heavier items as I don't need it. Otherwise excellent quality.

The bolts that attach it to the car are too long and had to be trimmed. The control cable is only 48 inches long. This is too little. For good distance, the length should be at least 72 inches (6 feet). The cables to the battery come out of the controller. This is a terrible design and shows laziness on the part of the manufacturer. Then the instructions to unplug the cable and then apply 500 pounds of pressure to it while it coils are ridiculous. Some parts are not shown in the documentation. The product is said to be waterproof, but there are exposed power connectors. One rating states that all mounting hardware is included. You are so limited in what you are given. Diagrams do not show different mounts, but this is recommended for boats, quads, jeeps, etc. No phone support, EMAIL ONLY.
