Hour meter replaces one on my backup generator that no longer works. I need to be able to track engine run time for maintenance. The manufacturer's replacement costs three times as much. The only difference is that the regular gauge has built-in oil change notifications. I only do this every 50 hours. I have only let the device run for 1 hour so far. Let's see how long this lasts.

Finally an opportunity to install. I should have done this earlier because it was really easy. My lawnmower came with a pre-wired cord which I had to remove/reuse as it was not a manufacturer hour meter but came with connectors which made hookup and installation easy. Take the lawn mower for a ride to make sure it's working properly and working great! I'm so glad I didn't spend $75 on a brand name hour meter as it does exactly the same thing and fits perfectly in the pre-cut hole.

About 3 weeks ago I installed two meters on my 24VAC HVAC system. One controls the heating and the other monitors the cooling time. No problem at 24 VAC voltage level. I use the timer functions to control the runtime of two different filters that I use in the system. The TMR 1 monitors the operating time of the large 20 x 25 x 4 filter in cooling/heating cycles. There was some VERY minor filing that needed to be done along the length to ensure a snug fit without forcing the part into the cutout, and some minor soldering to ensure proper wiring from the existing mower harness to the terminals on the gauge.
