Enhance Safety with 🔒 Rust-Oleum 22242 1-Pound Pail ST30 Skid-Tex Review

The grain is much larger than expected. I would like a better description. The grains are similar in size to cornmeal and smaller than processed white sugar. However, they have been working on my pool deck project.

I mixed it with the paint I painted the porch with. I live in the Northeast US and this has worked well after winter snow, ice and rain. Just mix it well with the paint so it doesn't stick together in one place.

Mixed with exterior house paint to cover the handicap ramp for my mom to raise and lower. Excellent traction. It was used for about two months with no loss of sand or traction. I assume this will take several years.

I added Skid-Tex to the acrylic latex paint I used to paint our back steps to our house. There is little sun in this part of the house, so having a durable non-slip surface on the wooden steps is very important. I used the prescribed amount which provided a great surface on the steps to avoid slipping, especially during the cold and rainy winter months.

This has worked well for adding grit to the paint I have applied to my scaffolding boards. However, it is very difficult to keep it in limbo, even though I mixed it well and adjusted it as recommended. I had to stir it between each brush bath to make sure I had enough paint to apply. And after covering the board I still had plenty of it at the bottom of the container. Small things have a big impact. This is the best value product for texture paint but it wasn't enough for my dog agility gear. The texture is better suited to making things like steps less slippery for people.
