After reading several reviews on this product that stated this hardware splits wood, I tried wood glue. I had no idea if that would work. I laid all the pieces together, glued them together and left the whole piece on its side under the (slightly) heavier illustrated books for about 24 hours. And now, after about two months, Beas seems to be as good as ever! I highly recommend using wood glue instead of this hardware for this item!

Product name says SOLID WOOD. That's so far from the truth. To be honest, at first I thought I had a styrofoam. It was so light and didn't feel like solid wood, it even looked like styrofoam. TLDR: Beautiful looks, terrible quality, easy to trace and make your own with good materials/wood. swell and break apart. "Wood" looks very cheap. I don't know how "solid wood" can be so light.
