Worked well in gauges

When we bought a used fifth wheel, not all the fuel gauges read correctly. We used this material in all of our waste water tanks while driving three hours to another RV stop. After emptying all tanks, the sensors read correctly.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not everything fits

First I tried following the instructions but it didn't seem to work.

Tried it first following the instructions but doesn't seem to work. Followed by a Dawn dish soap treatment and it did. 3 stars because I don't know if Dawn could have done it on her own. Next time I'll try Dawn first

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

Keep These Sensors Clean

We had a problem with the sensors in our RV/Horse Trailer. Using Thetford Gauge Cleaner was a quick and easy way to clean the instruments. Just fill the tank with clean water, add detergent and you're good to go. After draining, the tank is clean and fresh, the pressure gauges report correctly. What a great product!

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Unsafe

Does not work on the electrics

I had high hopes for this product based on other reviews. I had 2 burnt sensors in the gray tank. I used this product according to the instructions in the letter. When I drained the gray tank, the sensors were still stuck. I then tried a $2.80 bottle of PineSol, which worked great (all sensors are now working again) and smelled great.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Seems to work at first

Used half a bottle as listed on my black water tank. It was 2/3 full when it was empty. After being emptied during the process, the tank showed up as empty. As soon as I wanted to use my trailer again, it indicated that it was 2/3 full without adding anything to the tank. I plan to use the other half of the bottle as directed. Not sure yet what the results will be.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Gauge cleaner - don't know

Used in a 5 year old RV. It's easy to use - browse the toilet in Black WaterTank and let it sink in. I did this and put in a total of 1200 miles in five days - lots of sloshing. The black water tank was empty - the sensors still showed the dose was full. This could be a good product but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I'll end up with a different dosage - if anything changes I'll let you know.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Out of style

Product Disclaimer: Sensors

I bought on April 28th with the intention of using it before our first long car ride. Today it was used and the product is no longer liquid. it is dry on the outside and hard on the inside in the bottle. Useless to me I think. I'll try to cut open the bottle and put rehydration water in the bucket. I believe I should be able to return an item with a limited use by date, or at least the product description should state immediate use.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Band

A simple solution! suitable for gauges

Our gray and black gauges almost don't work anymore. We stayed at a campground with very high iron levels. It seems that they slowly stopped registering normally. Then we had to stay in the same warehouse for 4 months - that's the longest downtime in 4 years. You have completely stopped registering. We bought this and tried 1/2 bottle but were advised to put it down before travelling. It didn't help. Then we finally hit the road and poured the rest. Voila! He cleaned the gray tank. Now we are…

Pros
  • inspires confidence
Cons
  • disappears
