Look no further for your DAC.

I like this DAC enough, in fact it's part of my "endgame" now. I connected this DAC to a Schiit Magni Heresy amplifier. Don't be put off by words like "budget" or "entry level" as others have described this DAC. There are several good reviewers who have taken extensive measurements of this device and are very positive about this DAC. You'll notice right away how quiet this unit is - it's quiet. No noise or distortion. This gives you a detailed and analytical presentation of your audio. I've…

Typically poor powered USB audio, weak sound.

I bought this based on a review in Audio Science Review. This device is great for USB and bad for Toslink and Coax. The measurements don't tell you how it might sound, but they can tell you how well the block is designed/built. I've always had this experience with USB audio in the past, especially USB powered, so the audio sounds slim, not much body. It's the same with this device, it has great separation, resolution, lacks a bit of bass, 3D is ok and depth is ok. Neutral sound, fairly clean…

The best sound quality you can get for this price.

Let me just say wow. I didn't expect the change in sound quality to be so noticeable with my other DACs. Most of my stuff is a year or older, and it's clear that the last year has been a big leap for budget audio. This version of the mkii sounds as good if not better than some of my friend's expensive DACs that I was jealous of. It's so good my friend just placed an order after hearing mine to replace his bedroom DAC which costs $400. I've heard that this one is more comfortable and has a…

Five star value for money so far.

First impressions: Unboxing - well packaged and the red one I chose wasn't as ugly as the pictures show. I can warm up and even experiment with orientation like in the pictures. The remote control is a plus. I like that I can turn the display off as I feel I don't have a lot of really "high definition" sources and that "44" is boring to watch; Blue dot is better. I also like that when streaming audio via Chromecast, the optical option in SMSL allows me to control the volume with a regular…
