I like this DAC enough, in fact it's part of my "endgame" now. I connected this DAC to a Schiit Magni Heresy amplifier. Don't be put off by words like "budget" or "entry level" as others have described this DAC. There are several good reviewers who have taken extensive measurements of this device and are very positive about this DAC. You'll notice right away how quiet this unit is - it's quiet. No noise or distortion. This gives you a detailed and analytical presentation of your audio. I've worked in music production, so I appreciate it when my music is presented to me the way the original producers intended. I don't like it when my sound is pleasantly "seasoned". I trust the artists and those who mix their music and you should too. If you want to spice up your sound a bit, take this and add a nice little tube amp and a pair of headphones, which are notoriously very musical. I love the neutral and honest presentation this little box offers and I think you will too.
