I'm not giving 1 star because I'm not sure if that's really the reason, but the SSD worked fine with a regular SATA connection. It seemed normal for a while, but suddenly one day after a reboot all data was done. Before that, the SSD went through hundreds of reboots on a SATA connection and had no signs of problems with it and still no other signs of problems. While this cable may not be the culprit, it seems an odd coincidence that the drive failed shortly after switching to this cable. I like

Like a perfect toaster it just works - failsafe

I bought a Sabrent EC-SS31 1.5" SATA HDD/SSD to USB 3.1 Adapter to convert internal 128GB SATA SSDs to three Dell 9020M Optiplex new Samsung 860 EVO to clone. 1TB SSD at work. A USB-C adapter came with the cable which I didn't use. The end of the year is always busy for our company. We'll see if we can buy new toys , how much we need will spend money and insist on being there in time for taxes by the end of the year This year we had to switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but we didn't scream…

Raspbian and Permissions Issues

This seemed to work right away with a SanDisk Extreme SSD used as an external drive on the Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspbian Buster. Formatted the drive normally and accepted file transfer and so on. Permissions got shaky on every reboot for files/folders on that drive, and some apps on the Pi kept throwing "Permission Denied" errors when trying to rename or move despite being granted access. Different drives caused the same problems; The problems disappeared when the same drives were used with a…

Works great!: Cables and Connections

I used this cable when upgrading my MacBook Pro and wife's hard drives (HDD to SSD). It was just a gamble as I didn't know if I really needed a sled with a body and such, but the thing worked great! I don't want to bore you with the whole story, but my wife's hard drive failed (won't boot and I've tried everything to get it working, including reinstalling the OS a couple of times). So I reluctantly sent it to a data recovery place who charged me a HUGE amount of money for data extraction after…

Reliable and Convenient USB SSD Cable

I love it so much I've bought two more besides this one. I have a lot of SSDs and two laptop hard drives that I use regularly for different purposes. I always use these Sabrent USB to SSD adapters to clone my new SSDs and HDDs, which has happened quite a bit over the last year. I've used these Sabrent SSD cables regularly for everything from laptops to at least six different desktops. I've never had problems with data transfer - neither with USB 2.0 interfaces nor with USB 3.0. I bought two…
