Excellent lock until cable gets stuck

I really wanted to like this product but something is wrong with mine. It was great for my first snowboard ride - I was able to attach my snowboard (and my mate's board) to the rack via the bindings. But on the last two rides, the cables got caught and overlapped each other, making unwinding almost impossible (see photo of cable overlap). I know this isn't user error because I've practiced winding it very carefully at home and the cords still get stuck when I try to untangle it. Not sure if…

Cool stuff! I hide one key in my jacket and keep the other in the car (just in case). Works great and looks a lot stronger than all the locks next to it on the rack. You should definitely get a potential thief to move to the flimsy wire lock next to yours. I've used it about 20 times this season and it's been covered in snow many times. Works great until it breaks. But I would still buy more.

Easy to use and specially designed for skis. I have no doubt that for what it does, this is one of the best options out there. It is lightweight, easy to store and durable. The cable is thick enough to inspire confidence and an appropriate thickness for a ski lock. Before discovering this I was using a Dakine micro lock and found the Dakine lock clumsy and flimsy. This is a much better product, but it has some downsides. There are other reviews from people who had problems with the locking…
