Description of πŸ”΅ High-Quality SainSmart 3mm Blue Printing Filament: A Reliable 3D Printing Material for Exceptional Results

TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is a subclass of thermoplastics which prints strong parts that are also flexible. Compatible with printers on the market that accept 3 mm filament. Including Lutzbot, Ultimaker 3D printers. With bowden extruder needs to print slowly, excellent adhesion on heat bed, not neccessary for extra adhesion like tape. With proper settings, TPU is easy to print thanks to excellent bed adhesion and the filament's tendency to not warp. Resist to oil, grease and etc. Duarable performance even in chemical harsh environment. Great for a variety of projects, such as shoe insoles, watch bands, phone cases, drone parts and more! Note: This is a 3 mm filament, not a 1.75 mm filament, please make sure you choose the correct filament diameter.

Works like a Dexcom CGM cap!

I used this to print the cover for my Dexcom CGM and it turned out really great! It is a very malleable material like rubber. It fits around the edges fairly well but doesn't have any rough edges after printing.

Pros
  • With the right settings, TPU is easy to print due to its excellent adhesion to the layer and the filament's tendency not to warp.
Cons
  • Little things

Excellent as always

With this we compare all other TPUs. it works, prints to multiple printers and is consistent. I use it on Makerselect Plus and Prusa Mk3. Both print well. Minimal lines and helps remove jelly from GoPro frames.

Pros
  • Compatible with standard printers that accept 3mm filament. Including Lutzbot, Ultimaker 3D printer. Bowden extruder should print slowly, excellent adhesion to the heatbed, no need for extra adhesion like tape.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Blocked due to larger diameter than expected

The diameter of my reel far exceeded the specified tolerance of 0.05mm, 3.21mm was the largest I measured. If you expect jamming, check the filament diameter, you might not be. If my printer toolkit was more forgiving, this probably wouldn't be an issue.

Pros
  • Resistant to oils, greases, etc. Reliable operation even in harsh chemical environments.
Cons
  • So far so good
