Description of SainSmart 🧩 TPU 1.75mm Filament

Filament Diameter: 1.75 mm; Shore Hardness: 95A; Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.05 mm; 250g (approximately 0.55 lbs) per spool; Vacuumed sealed with desiccant; Recommended extruder temperature: 200 - 220°C; Recommended platform temperature: 40 - 60°C. TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) is a subclass of thermoplastics which prints strong parts that are also flexible. Compatible with all FDM printers on the market which accept 1.75 mm filament; Including Prusa i3, Monoprice MakerSelect, SainSmart xCreality, and other RepRap printers. With proper settings, TPU is easy to print thanks to excellent bed adhesion and the filament’s tendency to not warp. Great for a variety of projects, such as shoe insoles, watch bands, phone cases, drone parts and more.

not for Unified

Filament arrived quickly and well packaged in a sealed bag with desiccant. I liked the color and it matched the description. This is where the good ends. I've tried the manufacturer's recommendations for settings, as well as other reviewers' recommendations, and then played around with my own a bit, and I've basically failed to get them to stick to the bed or even to itself. The only thing it's sure to stick to is my fingers. The print speed (if you can get a half stick) is very slow. Another…

Learn something

, I ordered a red TPU together with a 3rd party PLA for my new Ender 3 for Christmas. Received my Ender before work on Christmas Eve and was able to run it to test print. Of course, I ended up using the free pla pattern with no errors after leveling the bed. Then I started using SAINSMART Red TPU which was a disaster. The TPU clogged my first nozzle, which led me to YouTube to find out what I was doing wrong. It required completely different temperature and speed settings. So I switched to the…

Good thread but with a twist. literally.

I like this filament. I usually use Inland from Microcenter, but it seems they recently switched suppliers and the new PLA isn't as good as what they had before. The material they had before is now called PLA+ and costs more. So I thought it would be worth expanding and getting something new so I ordered it. I like it at first sight. Prints nice. It is smooth. It's pretty much true to size. BUT. It seems to have flair. It's like it's coming from a twisted coil. And with my roller bearing spool…

Pros
