Possible fire hazard!

, the I bought some of these for use in our office. 2 of them got so hot they started to melt! Both times they gave off a strong smell of burning which alerted us to a problem. I'm afraid one of them might actually start a fire if there wasn't anyone around to smell the melting plastic. After problems with two card readers, the rest were thrown out. I don't care how much money you can save by buying this product, it's just not worth the risk! The first product had an issue with no media…

Now I know what happened!

I liked this reader for its size and took it with me on trips to take photos from friends' cameras or upload my own. One day I noticed that the case was weird, all twisted and crooked, and he stopped reading properly. After reading these other reviews I now know what happened. It melted the hull. I signed up to buy the exact same thing, but based on 3 reviews pointing out this "sharpness" issue, I'll be looking for something else!

Great little tool - Card Reader

I haven't had any problems with this card reader. Maybe they're not designed to stay connected all the time? I plug it into the USB port on the front of my computer, upload photos and delete it. The reader even has little pictures showing you how to insert the card and which card goes in which slot. It's very fast and allows me to choose where to send my photos. Unlike some other programs I have, it takes forever to load. It's quick and easy. I will buy another one maybe two as I have 3…
