Samsung Chromebook Celeron Processor Gigabit Review

I was absolutely thrilled when I received this product. I originally bought this to replace my Lenovo laptop which broke accidentally. I'm a student so I needed a product that could handle file uploads and be lightweight so it would be easier to carry around campus. The product worked for 15 minutes on the first day. We charged it overnight. Now it turns on for 1 second. and then turns off immediately! I'm so pissed. It was a gift for my son to use for schoolwork. What a waste of money. I am trying to get it back and there is no way to do it

I bought the 6GB model directly from Samsung. If the screen was better it would be five stars. Good build quality and small details seemed well done. However, the screen makes this useless. The screen is very directional. The slightest movement will cause the screen's brightness to change so much that your eyes will strain. This is my first Chromebook. I did a lot of research and research before purchasing. When it arrived there was a problem logging in. After trying it myself for a few days, I decided to call support. I'm pretty sure the gentleman I spoke to has never seen a Chromebook. He had to stop and look for all sorts of problems, and sometimes even argued with me. For example, one told me to find 2 buttons on the scroll and click on the correct one. NO TWO BUTTONS. It's a smooth cushion, like most laptops.

I am writing based on the cost of $234. I see a lot of reviews here complaining about the screen. Remember what you bought. This laptop is fast, light and well made. There's even a good amount of memory for a personal computer. Yes, the screen isn't as bright as a $1,000 computer. If that's important to you, get a more expensive laptop. Ordered for my wife. Perfect for her to surf the web and quickly check email. As others have said, the screen could be better. The screen isn't very good when viewed from an angle. But then it's cheap. This is the first Chromebook I've bought. The speed is great. Loads almost instantly. It has great battery life. It's very easy. The keyboard responds. It has USB 3.0 and Bluetooth ports. I easily connected an inexpensive Bluetooth mouse to the system. My wife couldn't be happier.

Look, this Chromebook is under $300 - somewhere the costs had to be cut. Is the TN panel great? no But this laptop cost me $302 with taxes, has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, will be upgraded to at least 2026, and also does what I need (homework/writing). I also have a Samsung Chromebook 3 and the 4 is a good upgrade. This is a lightweight laptop with small dimensions. So I can easily carry it back and forth to campus.
